A Circle of Love may be able to provide temporary emergency housing along with meals, basic necessities, and the practical support that helps a hard season start moving toward stable ground. Not just a referral to somewhere else — direct help, where we have room.

A Circle of Love is not an emergency service and cannot respond to crisis situations.
More Than a Place to Sleep
Housing is the beginning, not the whole answer.
Losing housing rarely happens for one reason, and it rarely resolves with one night indoors. Our emergency stabilization support pairs a safe place to stay with the practical work of finding what comes next — benefits, longer-term housing, paperwork, appointments, transportation.
The goal is not simply to get through tonight. It is to use this window well, so the next season looks different from this one.
What Support May Include
Practical help, in one place
What we can offer depends on space, capacity, and each person’s situation. Here is the range of support that may be available.
Meals and basic needs
Three meals a day, drinking water, snacks, and basic hygiene and household necessities so nobody has to choose between eating and everything else.
Emergency intake and planning
An immediate-needs assessment, a look at the housing situation, and a plan that names the priorities in a realistic order.
Case management
Coordination, advocacy, communication with agencies, follow-up, and someone keeping track of the moving pieces so you do not have to hold it all alone.
Housing and resource navigation
Searching for longer-term housing, contacting programs and landlords, application help, referral coordination, and transition planning.
Benefits and resource assistance
Help navigating SNAP, DHS, AHCCCS, SSI and SSDI resources, food and utility assistance, and local community programs.
Paperwork and applications
Online applications, printing, scanning, document organization, agency paperwork, and phone and internet access for essential needs.
Local transportation
Rides for essential local trips — the pharmacy, groceries, nearby appointments, housing and benefits meetings.
Your companion animal
Where we can, we keep people and their pets together. More on that below.
Companion Animals
You should not have to choose between shelter and your dog.
Most emergency housing will not take pets. So people sleep in cars, or turn down help, or give up an animal that may be the steadiest relationship in their life right now.
Where safety allows, A Circle of Love can accommodate a companion animal alongside its person — with feeding, water, routine supervision, walks, and cleanup. If keeping you together is not possible, we can help coordinate safe temporary placement instead.
Please tell us about your animal when you reach out, so we can plan honestly about what is workable.

Space is limited
Emergency housing depends on available space, program capacity, safety, and whether the placement is a good fit. Admission is not guaranteed, and we will tell you honestly and quickly if we cannot help.
This is short-term by design
Emergency housing is temporary. Any extension depends on capacity, circumstances, safety, and progress toward a longer-term plan.

Please do not travel to an address without speaking with us. Our mailing address is not a program site, and locations vary.
If we cannot house you, we still help
We will work to connect you with other shelters, programs, and resources rather than leaving you at a dead end.
How placements are paid for
Emergency housing and stabilization is a real program with real costs, and it is paid for in more than one way.
Charitable assistance
A Circle of Love may cover some or all of the cost from its Emergency Housing Assistance Fund.
An agency or organization
A company, agency, church, or program may purchase services on your behalf.
Family or personal contribution
Sometimes a family member or the individual contributes part of the cost.
Please do not let cost stop you from reaching out. What a placement costs and
what a person pays are often two different numbers. Ask us.
What this program is and is not. A Circle of Love provides emergency housing and
stabilization support. We do not provide skilled nursing, medical treatment, detoxification,
psychiatric treatment, emergency medical care, or clinical behavioral-health treatment. For a
medical or life-threatening emergency, contact 911 or the appropriate emergency service.
Availability varies. Emergency housing is subject to available space, program
capacity, safety considerations, appropriateness of placement, and available resources. Rates, fees,
program availability, and service terms are subject to change.
